Job summary

WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News in Connecticut seeks a Digital News Content Producer to support the daily flow of news to the newsroom and ensure coverage on-air and across the station's digital platforms. The CP gathers news information, generates story ideas, schedules crews, and handles live feeds while creating content aligned with the station's brand.

The role requires strong news judgment, knowledge of online journalism, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience publishing content on multiple digital platforms (OTT, social media) and aligning content with the station's brand.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily flow of news to the newsroom for on-air and digital platforms.
• Gather meaningful news information, generate story ideas, discern credible tips, schedule crews, and take live feeds.
• Create content aligned with and enhances the station brand; publish content on digital platforms, OTT, and social media.
• Demonstrate strong news judgment and urgency for breaking news.
• Thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-focused environment requiring multitasking.

Education
