WFSB is seeking a dynamic Weekday Evening News Anchor to lead in the studio, across digital platforms, and in the community. This role goes beyond reading a teleprompter and calls for delivering authoritative, multi-platform storytelling.

You will join a leading newsroom, shaping coverage for live broadcasts, streaming, and online channels, while mentoring teammates and engaging with viewers across Connecticut and New England.

Formación

• 3–5 years of proven television news anchoring experience in a competitive market.
• Excellent ability to handle unscripted live breaking news coverage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Anchor and lead weekday evening newscasts with authority and editorial judgment.
• Steer live breaking news coverage without a script.
• Produce and host digital-first content on streaming platforms.
• Enterprise and report impactful stories for evening broadcasts, web, and streaming.
• Actively engage with the community at station functions and events.
• Maintain a professional presence on digital and social channels.
