Job summary

Daikin Applied in Faribault, MN is seeking a Business Analyst for Digital MES & Manufacturing Systems to plan, design, test, and support order management processes. You will translate business needs into system requirements and work with stakeholders to implement enhancements.

The role focuses on collecting and analyzing manufacturing data, driving data‑driven decisions, and applying SQL and BI skills. You’ll contribute to training, documentation, and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Expertise in translating complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, materials, and engineering to align goals and data-driven decisions.
• Investigate issues with manufacturing applications, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resources to fix issues.
• Lead cross-functional projects, gather and document requirements, and outline current/future states and gaps.
• Document solution designs, timelines, resources, and train end users with guides and test plans.
