Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst for Digital MES & Manufacturing Systems in Staunton, VA. You will collaborate with business leaders and IT to plan, design, test, train, and support order management processes and MES systems.

The role requires translating complex data into insights, leading cross-functional projects, and delivering effective requirements and training materials. A Bachelor's in IT or related field and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Expertise in translating complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, materials, and engineering to align goals and data-driven decisions.
• Investigate issues with manufacturing applications and perform root cause analysis.
• Lead cross-functional projects and document requirements, current & future state.
• Define and communicate functional requirements to developers and stakeholders.
• Prepare user guides and training materials and conduct end-user training and testing.
