Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Staunton, VA is seeking a driven Business Analyst - Digital MES & Mfg Systems to partner with business leaders and users to plan, define, design, test, train, implement, and support order management processes and MES systems.

You will collect and analyze manufacturing data, translate requirements for IT and engineering, document current and future states, lead projects, and guide end-user training and testing with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related or equivalent experience.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Expertise in translating complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, materials, and engineering to ensure alignment of goals and data-driven decision-making.
• Investigate issues with manufacturing applications, conducting root cause analysis and aligning resources to correct the issues.
• Lead cross-functional projects and gather, document, and validate business requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and document rationale for design choices.
• Define and communicate project timelines, resource needs, and funding requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into specifications for the developer team.
• Lead end users through training and testing with user guides and test plans.
