Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Digital Merchandising Specialist for a Fortune 500 client on a 7-month contract. This fully remote role offers 40 hours per week at $50–$55.22 per hour DOE. The position focuses on digital merchandising strategy and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop briefs, guide copy and creative output, and optimize customer experiences while presenting findings to leadership. 3+ years in e-commerce or related fields is desired.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or technology with a background in digital merchandising, marketing, or related field.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings through storytelling.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Author business briefs that define merchandising strategies, requirements, program messaging, positioning, and KPIs.
• Provide creative direction and feedback on copy and creative deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to optimize merchandising strategies, content, and customer experiences.
• Present proposals, performance insights, and key learnings to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop merchandising plans and use merchandising tools to support setup and execution.
• Validate merchandising content across staging and production environments for accuracy and quality.
• Recommend process improvements and explore opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies.
