Qualifications

• Earned MFA/MA or equivalent terminal degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Minimum of two years of proven college-level teaching experience.
• Active professional practice in art, media arts, or design with exhibitions or publications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams or papers.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes to inform curriculum improvements.
• Engage students in active learning, foster critical thinking, and facilitate discussion and hands-on learning.
• Provide academic support through office hours, feedback on assignments, and mentoring.
• Adhere to university policies and accreditation standards related to teaching responsibilities.
