Successful candidates may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours in their respective disciplines, delivering instruction in-person only, to emphasize fostering stronger technical skills and promoting technical competency. Additionally, they will be expected to hold office hours and provide necessary support to students.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students, which may include general education core curriculum. Engage students in active learning, foster critical thinking skills, and provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Adhere to university policies, academic integrity standards, and accreditation requirements related to teaching responsibilities. **Required Qualifications:** * Earned **MFA/MA** or equivalent terminal degree, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.* Minimum of two years of proven college-level teaching experience.* Active professional practice in art, media arts, or design, demonstrated through exhibitions, publications, or other creative work, along with relevant course related experience.* Ability to teach raster, vector, and moving image-based media.* Proficiency in Canvas (our course management system) and related textbook-specific platforms.* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and commitment to responding promptly to university and student communications.**Preferred Qualifications:** Ability to teach face-to-face courses. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**: Knowledge and understanding of disciplinary subject matter at a level adequate for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction; written and oral communication skills sufficient to conduct effective teaching activities; ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty in a professional, collegial, and collaborative manner. ***\*\*\*Commensurate with experience\*\*\**** Cover Letter / Letter of Interest addressing qualifications Founded in 1899, Tarleton State University a founding member of The Texas A&M University System, has a rich history and tradition through generations that have inspired educational excellence.
