Job summary

The University of Montevallo is seeking a part-time, temporary student assistant for the Digital Media Lab and Carmichael Library. The role involves assisting patrons with multimedia software, hardware, and general tech support.

Required is a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should be available some evenings and possess strong customer service skills, plus intermediate technical abilities with Adobe CC and basic media editing tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and media editing tools.
• Proficient in Photoshop, Premiere, GarageBand, and iMovie.
• Familiar with Rhino 3D and basic audio/video editing.
• Intermediate technical skills and strong customer service abilities.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons of the Digital Media Lab and Carmichael Library.
• Provide excellent customer service and help with computer technology questions.
• Support Adobe Creative Cloud apps, video editing, 3D design, and related tasks.

General Description

Assist patrons of the Digital Media Lab and Carmichael Library.

Assist patrons of the DML in the following capacities:

• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite background
• Photoshop
• Premiere
• GarageBand
• iMovie
• Rhino
• Audio and Video editing basics
• 3d Design

Provide excellent customer service and answer patron’s computer technology questions

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Must be available to work some evenings until 12 A.M.

Possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills

Must be detail oriented

Ability to recognize and protect confidential information

Be punctual and dependable
