Head of Marketing & Communications at OceanBlue, a KD Pharma Group Company

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing OceanBlue’s direct-to-consumer digital channels and programs. This person will be responsible for executing strategies that drive online engagement, conversion, and retention. This role will manage the brand’s digital presence across owned and paid channels, optimize the DTC website experience, and steward the tools, technologies, and analytics that power OceanBlue’s digital growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings a data-driven approach to building an effective and scalable digital marketing engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize OceanBlue’s digital marketing ecosystem, including managing tech stack, analytics tools, and digital programs to drive awareness, conversion, and LTV – with primary focus on broadening OceanBlue’s digital footprint effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage OceanBlue’s Shopify/DTC website experience, with a focus on CRO, UX, and site content optimization.
  • Lead strategy for paid media campaigns across Google, Meta, Programmatic, and emerging platforms within budget constraints, with continuous testing and optimization.
  • Establish and consistently optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual media spend and testing plans to achieve paid and organic traffic, acquisition, and revenue metrics within budget.
  • Manage email marketing and retention programs (e.g., Klaviyo, Recharge, etc.) focused on lifecycle, reactivation, and repeat purchase behavior.
  • Report on performance metrics (CAC, ROAS, AOV, LTV) and provide actionable insights based on web analytics, A/B testing, and consumer behavior data.
  • Collaborate with design, brand, and social teams to align digital assets with brand tone and campaign goals.
  • Coordinate with team members and multiple external vendors, ensuring proper structure and execution of campaigns to meet business objective across all channels.
  • Work closely with Director of Marketing to assist with campaign execution, budget management, and broader brand initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality consumer experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Assist in other marketing initiatives including but not limited to promotions, field marketing, and event execution on an as-needed basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience.Experience in fast-moving consumer-packaged goods (FMCG), specialty foods, or dietary supplement markets desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing digital strategies that drive significant sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including SEO, SEM, DSP, PPC, social media marketing, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing e-commerce websites, including content management systems (CMS) and analytics platforms.
  • Strong business acumen: commercially savvy, thinks ahead, manages business risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Position Location:Remote (Eastern/Central US Time Zone preferred, but location can be anywhere in Continental USA)

Travel: Regular travel to meet with periodically with OceanBlue team, learn at industry conferences, and represent the company.Travel can be as much as 10-20% of working hours at times and may require occasional weekend travel.

Compensation Range: Salary $75,000/yr base with +10% bonus potential and commission. Complete medical, dental, vision 401k, PTO package.
