H2M architects + engineers, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm based in NY, NJ, CT, and FL, is seeking a Digital Content Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team in Melville, NY.
We’re looking for a creative, digitally savvy professional to lead our social media presence and digital content across our website and platforms. You’ll be the point person for all things social and digital, developing campaigns, managing content, coordinating website updates, and ensuring our online presence is fresh, engaging, and aligned with our brand.
You’ll work closely with our Communications Specialists, Multimedia team, SEO consultant, and Director of Marketing to keep our digital footprint dynamic and purposeful. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital content and social media strategies aligned with marketing goals, business priorities, industry trends, and best practices to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
- Research market trends, competitor activity, and emerging digital opportunities, recommending creative approaches to improve website engagement, digital storytelling, and social media performance.
Social Media Management & Engagement
- Manage H2M’s social media presence, including content planning, campaign development, audience engagement, trend monitoring, and performance optimization across all platforms.
- Collaborate with Communications Specialists and the Multimedia team to source, develop, and publish content, including coverage of firm events, project milestones, and company initiatives.
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Create, edit, publish, and optimize compelling digital content, including social media posts, website pages, project case studies, service descriptions, and multimedia assets.
- Translate technical information into clear, engaging content that supports business development efforts and resonates with clients, partners, agencies, and prospective clients.
Website Content Management & Governance
- Serve as the primary coordinator for website content management, overseeing content updates, implementation, quality assurance, and ongoing content audits across the firm’s website.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and the Multimedia team to ensure website content is accurate, current, user-focused, and aligned with brand standards.
Digital Performance & Optimization
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure digital content follows SEO best practices, supports search visibility, and enhances the user experience.
- Monitor and analyze website, social media, and content performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve digital marketing effectiveness and engagement.
Education & Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of experience in social media management, digital content, or a related role. Experience in professional services, A/E/C industry, or B2B environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience managing social media platforms professionally across multiple channels. Experience developing social media campaigns from concept to execution is preferred.
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite experience strongly preferred). Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting is preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences, and translate technical or complex information into clear, accessible, and engaging content.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and how to incorporate keywords naturally into digital content, and experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems is preferred.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player who works well across departments and with diverse stakeholders and is a self-starter who takes initiative and brings ideas forward with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Annual Salary is between $75,000- $84,500 based on experience.
