Job summary

Upland Hills Health is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist for the Community Relations Department at the Dodgeville Hospital Campus. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on planning, executing, and optimizing digital campaigns across the hospital’s website, email, and social channels, with a strong emphasis on patient engagement and brand visibility.

The role requires a marketing degree and proven SEO/SEM, analytics, and content optimization experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing email, social media and/or display campaigns.
  • Highly creative with ability to target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Experience setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Strong analytical, data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest online marketing trends and best practices.
  • Previous direct work-related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, update, and optimize website content to strengthen the organization’s brand and improve search visibility.
  • Develop and implement SEO/SEM strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, local search, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence through content planning, creation, publishing, engagement, and analysis.
  • Create and optimize digital content for hospital services, providers, locations, and patient journey areas.
  • Monitor and report digital marketing performance using KPIs and analytics; translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve campaign performance, website engagement, and conversion.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests and conversion experiments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, agencies, developers, designers, and other partners on landing pages and digital experiences.
  • Evaluate the patient journey across digital channels and identify usability and accessibility improvements.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to execute digital initiatives aligned with goals.
  • Stay current on emerging digital marketing technologies and best practices; advise on potential applications.
  • Ensure activities align with brand standards, patient privacy, accessibility, and healthcare policies.

Position Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus

Role & Department: Digital Marketing Specialist in the Community Relations Department

Hours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns across the hospital’s website, search engines, email, social media, digital advertising, and other digital channels.
  • Manage, update, and optimize website content to strengthen the organization’s brand, improve search visibility, and provide a clear, accessible, and engaging experience for patients and families.
  • Develop and implement SEO/SEM strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, local search, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence through strategic content planning, creation, publishing, engagement, and performance analysis.
  • Create and optimize digital content for hospital services, specialties, providers, locations, and other areas of the patient journey.
  • Monitor and report on digital marketing performance using established KPIs, analytics, and ROI measures; translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, audience insights, and opportunities to improve campaign performance, website engagement, conversion rates, and overall digital effectiveness.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests, conversion experiments, and other optimization initiatives to improve digital experiences and campaign results.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, clinical/service-line teams, agencies, developers, designers, and other partners to develop landing pages, campaigns, and digital experiences.
  • Evaluate the patient journey across digital channels and identify opportunities to improve usability, engagement, accessibility, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, technology providers, and other vendor partners to execute digital marketing initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
  • Stay current on emerging digital marketing technologies, platforms, trends, and best practices; provide recommendations regarding their potential application within the organization.
  • Ensure digital marketing activities and content align with organizational brand standards, patient privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and applicable healthcare policies and regulations.
  • Produce and coordinate compelling, accurate, and audience-appropriate content for the organization’s website, social media channels, and other digital platforms.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools. (i.e., Google Analytics)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Previous direct work-related experience is preferred but not required in this field.
