Job summary

Upland Hills Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for the Dodgeville Hospital Campus. This Per Diem role adapts hours based on departmental need and supports the Patient Access Department.

Expect responsibilities including patient data verification, insurance checks, and switchboard communications, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking and computer skills.
• Prefer one year of past work experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Prior EPIC EMR experience is very beneficial.
• Third party insurance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with all contacts using good customer service relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify all patient information and admit patients as applicable.

Position Title: Patient Access Specialist

Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus

Role & Department: Patient Access Specialist in the Patient Access Department

Hours & Shift: Per Diem position. Hours will vary based on departmental need

Role Responsibilities:

• Patient Access Specialists will verify all patient information and admit patients as applicable
• Will complete full insurance verifications
• Receives and disperses all incoming and outgoing communications
• Gives information and directions to the general public regarding Upland Hills Health and Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center
