Their mission is to help customers wake up feeling rested, restored, and energized.

They are now seeking a Digital Marketing Director with expertise in influencer marketing, top-funnel strategy, and performance marketing to drive awareness and scale their direct-to-consumer (D2C) growth.

About the Role

As the Digital Marketing Director, you will lead the top-of-funnel customer acquisition strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. Your focus will be on influencer marketing, paid media, social strategy, and content performance to build a powerful digital presence and fuel the growth of a premium product.

This is a high-impact role for a marketing leader with a proven track record in D2C marketing, influencer partnerships, and multi-channel strategy, especially in fitness, wellness, wearables, or sleep tech industries.

This is a remote position, open to candidates based in the USA, offering a competitive base salary, strong commission potential, and significant equity participation.

Key Responsibilities

Influencer & Content Marketing:

  • Develop and execute a scalable influencer marketing strategy, identifying and partnering with key influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors.
  • Build long-term relationships with influencers and affiliates to drive brand trust and credibility.
  • Optimize influencer content for engagement, conversions, and retargeting efforts.

Paid Media & Acquisition:

  • Lead top-of-funnel paid media campaigns across platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Ads.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing ad creatives and messaging tailored for different audiences.
  • Implement A/B testing, audience segmentation, and retargeting to maximize ROAS.
  • Own and optimize the social media strategy, ensuring organic and paid efforts align for maximum reach.
  • Leverage UGC (User-Generated Content) to drive authentic brand storytelling and increase engagement.
  • Develop a cross-platform content strategy that aligns with the brand’s voice and business goals.

Analytics & Optimization:

  • Use data-driven insights to analyze performance, track KPIs, and optimize marketing efforts for scale and efficiency.
  • Develop customer personas, segmentation strategies, and lifecycle marketing to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Continuously improve the top-funnel and mid-funnel experience to drive down CAC and increase conversions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product, eCommerce, and creative teams to ensure messaging consistency and campaign alignment.
  • Partner with performance marketing teams to ensure seamless handoff from awareness to conversion.
  • Align influencer marketing efforts with email, SMS, and community-building initiatives for holistic growth.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, influencer marketing, or performance marketing in D2C brands (fitness, wearables, sleep tech, wellness, or premium products preferred).
  • Proven expertise in influencer strategy, paid media, and social media growth.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels, paid media buying, and influencer partnership ROI measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging creator platforms.
  • Ability to scale influencer programs and optimize digital campaigns for conversion and brand lift.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in marketing analytics, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, remote, and growth-oriented environment.
