Job summary

Tax Foundation is hiring a Marketing Assistant to support digital marketing across our website, email, social media, ads, and events. You will publish and optimize content on TaxFoundation.org, draft weekly newsletters to 85,000+ subscribers, and report on performance metrics.

This full-time, entry-level role is based in the Washington, DC area with a flexible hybrid schedule and potential remote work across the US. Start date is early January 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing or related field.
• No prior full-time experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt tone for audiences.
• Excellent organization and time management across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the marketing team’s execution of digital campaigns across social media, email, ads, and the website.
• Publish and optimize website content with SEO best practices.
• Draft and schedule social posts for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Write and format weekly newsletters for 85,000+ subscribers and report key metrics.
• Assist with building and reporting digital ad campaigns on Meta and Google.
• Support event promotion with materials, registration, and attendee communications.
• Create social graphics using Canva or similar tools.
• Collect and report on Google Analytics and dashboards to track campaign trends.
• Provide administrative support across marketing programs as needed.
