Job summary

The University of South Carolina seeks a Digital Learning Specialist to support course development in Blackboard and drive accessibility remediation across digital content. The role focuses on ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA compliance while enhancing instructional quality.

You will collaborate with instructional design and technology teams, prototype learning assets with Generative AI, and stay current on accessibility standards and higher education tech trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Accessibility remediation & compliance for digital course content (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, ADA).
• Audit digital assets (PDFs, slides, images, videos, web content) for accessibility and copyright.
• Assist faculty in creating accessible, copyright-compliant documents and media.
• Collaborate on instructional technology projects with design and tech teams.
• Use Generative AI to prototype and develop learning assets.
