Job summary

The Community College of Vermont is seeking a Reference and Teaching Resources Librarian to support online instruction and information literacy across CCV campuses. The role collaborates with Vermont State University librarians and the chancellor’s office to deliver comprehensive library services to students and faculty.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program plus 3+ years of higher education reference/instruction experience.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with online instruction, information literacy, and LMS platforms.
• Familiarity with Open Educational Resources and open pedagogy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and Springshare tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning, coordination, and delivery of information literacy education and outreach activities.
• Provide faculty outreach related to instructional materials and manage information literacy and academic research instruction online including the LMS.
• Lead project work to create digital learning objects, including online research guides and video tutorials.
• Develop policies for virtual reference and instruction with the VSCS Assistant Library Director.
• Provide reference service and research support to remote students and faculty via live chat and email, including weekly evening chat.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in LibGuides CMS and Springshare products.
