Job summary

The University of North Georgia is seeking a part-time Digital Learning Technology Specialist - Accessibility to provide specialized support for accessible digital learning across the university.

You will evaluate and remediate content, captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions using Kaltura, ScreenPal, YuJa Panorama, and Brightspace D2L, collaborating with instructional designers and faculty to ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in digital accessibility and instructional technology in higher education or similar.
• Experience reviewing remediating Word, PowerPoint, PDF, HTML and other digital learning materials.
• Experience editing and QA captions/transcripts and creating audio descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate online courses and LMS content for accessibility using WCAG 2.1 AA and internal standards; document findings and remediation steps.
• Use YuJa Panorama and related tools to identify and remediate accessibility issues in course files and materials.
• Provide video accessibility support: captioning, transcripts, QA timing, speaker ID, and synchronization.
• Create and manage audio descriptions for instructional videos using Kaltura/ScreenPal.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, IT, and stakeholders to establish accessible content workflows.
• Develop and deliver training/workshops on ADA Title II, WCAG 2.1 AA, captioning, audio description, and accessibility tools.
• Maintain accessibility documentation and reports; monitor standards and suggest process improvements.
