Job summary

Vital Records Control (VRC) is seeking a Digital Specialist I to accurately prepare and scan a high volume of documents, converting printed material into digital images while meeting department benchmarks.

You will operate automatic feeders and flatbed scanners, adjust settings for each job, and maintain image quality. The role requires English communication, basic troubleshooting, and the ability to work overtime as needed, in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the digital scanning process and equipment.
• Ability to locate files in the system and prepare for scanning.
• Punctual, organized, detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and scan paper documents according to specifications and directions.
• Accept changes to specifications and directions based on customer needs.
• Use automatic feeder and flatbed scanner to scan varied paper sizes.
• Set scanner parameters for each job to ensure accurate handling.
• Maintain and clean scanners to preserve image quality.
• Log document/box numbers for retrieval.
• Assist teammates with document preparation and indexing.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or Director of Operations.
