Job summary

University of Rhode Island is seeking a Manager of Digital Imaging and Other Services to oversee the centralized digital imaging facility, manage personnel, production, and budget, and to coordinate mail processing and related services.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in a digital printing environment, strong cost analysis skills, and the ability to lead a team. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technology with related training in digital printing.
• Minimum five years in a responsible digital printing/finishing environment.
• Ability to manage budgets, pricing, and cost analyses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of centralized digital imaging facility including personnel, production, equipment, budget, and recordkeeping.
• Manage internal mail and processing of external mail to ensure efficient service.
• Determine cost-effective methods, oversee quality control, and triage printing orders.
• Complete digital printing orders using a digital copier and review form setups for pamphlets, booklets, and charts.
• Oversee income and expenditures, billing for services, and forecasting facility usage.
• Perform preventive maintenance and arrange equipment service.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and respond to inquiries related to transactions.
• Serve as liaison with other constituencies to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Participate in developing operational goals and objectives for the unit.
• Recommend and administer methods to enhance operations and cost analysis.
