Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Digital Integrated Circuits Component Engineer in the United States to own the life cycle of strategic digital components, including ASICs, FPGAs, memory, and microprocessors. The role requires collaboration with program offices, primes, designers, and labs, with a hybrid schedule (telework Mondays and Fridays; on-site Tue-Thu).

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in digital component engineering, knowledge of IEEE parts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, preferably Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in digital component engineering focusing on quality and reliability standards for IEEE parts.
• Ability to communicate ideas to customers, program offices, colleagues, and contractors.
• Understanding MIL-STD and various standards related to component parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide digital component engineering support, including writing technical reports.
• Advise program offices and designers on part selection for digital ICs.
• Troubleshoot digital component issues and recommend solutions.
• Interface with primes, labs, designers, and other agencies; support life cycle of strategic systems.
