Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an IT Analyst to design, implement, and maintain software systems supporting clinical and operational workflows. You will work with senior staff to troubleshoot, train end users, and coordinate basic IT projects within a healthcare environment.

The role emphasizes system optimization, data reporting, and secure access management, with opportunities to contribute to EpicCare and interoperability initiatives across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field OR two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Certifications may be required with target completion within 90 days after training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update and optimize IT systems to meet organizational needs.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues; provide end-user support and basic training.
• Support system modifications, implementation, and testing of updates for workflows.
• Participate in functional and integrated testing; document results and improvements.
• Assist with user security management under guidance of senior analysts.
• Collaborate with senior team members on system enhancements and data reporting.
