Job summary

Join the WVU Medicine IT Training team to develop and deliver engaging Epic Ambulatory (outpatient) training for clinicians and staff. You will collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support new implementations, workflow changes, and ongoing education, including travel across WVU Medicine facilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on training delivery, system enhancements, and ensuring staff use Epic effectively in daily work. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field or two years of relevant experience.
• Certifications may be required with 90 days training provided by WVUHS IT.
• Experience with clinical, imaging, or web application systems to improve efficiency.
• Experience in inpatient/outpatient settings to improve patient care processes.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM standards for data exchange.
• Knowledge of cloud-based healthcare apps and web services.
• Knowledge of reporting tools for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• System maintenance, updates, and optimization support.
• Diagnose and resolve IT issues; assist in testing updates and workflows.
• Participate in functional and integrated testing; document results.
• Assist with data import/export and basic reporting.
• Provide end-user training and system usage support.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Communicate updates and progress within project teams.
