Job description

We're seeking a Digital Health Solutions Lead to help shape and deliver technology that improves how patients interact with healthcare services. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting patient needs, operational workflows, and Epic capabilities to create practical digital solutions. You'll have meaningful ownership of solution design while partnering with technical teams, operational leaders, and other stakeholders. Success will come from balancing strong Epic expertise with curiosity, communication, and an ability to turn complex needs into effective experiences.

About the Opportunity

Join a leading healthcare organization investing in the continued evolution of its digital patient experience. You'll work within a collaborative clinical technology environment where your recommendations can influence both near-term delivery and longer-term digital strategy.

This is an opportunity to take ideas from early discovery through solution design and implementation, with particular emphasis on technology that makes healthcare easier for patients to navigate and access.

What You'll Do
  • Shape solutions that improve digital patient engagement, access, communication, and care experiences.
  • Guide technical design decisions for patient-facing Epic capabilities and connected workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve how digital tools support patients and healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to both tactical priorities and longer-range technology planning.
Epic Delivery & Technical Leadership

Provide hands-on leadership throughout the lifecycle of complex Epic initiatives.

  • Lead or independently drive Epic build and enhancement efforts.
  • Support solutions spanning areas such as MyChart, Ambulatory, Cadence, and Healthy Planet.
  • Help develop workflows involving patient outreach, self-service capabilities, messaging, and digital care programs.
  • Evaluate solution options, dependencies, risks, and implementation approaches.
  • Maintain a balance between thoughtful architecture and practical delivery.
Stakeholder Partnership

Serve as a bridge between technical teams, operational partners, and organizational leadership.

  • Lead discovery and solutioning conversations around complex business and patient needs.
  • Bring cross-functional groups together to work through challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear recommendations for nontechnical audiences.
  • Present solution approaches, risks, priorities, and progress to leadership.
Team Enablement

Raise the technical capability of the broader team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues.
  • Share Epic and digital health expertise through ongoing education and documentation.
  • Help teams establish priorities, navigate competing needs, and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Contribute technical perspective to team development and resource decisions.
What You Bring

You'll thrive in this opportunity if you have:

  • A strong background delivering technology solutions in healthcare or similarly complex environments, typically developed through 5+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • Hands-on experience working with Epic, particularly capabilities that influence patient access or engagement.
  • Two or more current Epic certifications relevant to the work.
  • Experience taking ownership of application builds, enhancements, implementations, or similarly complex technical initiatives.
  • An understanding of how technology decisions affect workflows, end users, and the patient experience.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and operational teams to solve problems that extend beyond a single application.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to make complex technical considerations understandable to varied audiences.
  • Experience with solution design, process improvement, technical planning, or project leadership.
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Nice to Have

These are valuable additions, but candidates do not need every one:

  • Epic certification or meaningful experience with MyChart, Ambulatory, Cadence, or Healthy Planet.
  • Experience developing patient outreach campaigns, digital care workflows, self-scheduling, or patient messaging solutions.
  • Exposure to digital therapeutics or other emerging digital health capabilities.
  • Experience leading initiatives that span multiple Epic applications and require close operational partnership.
  • A master's degree or additional education related to technology, healthcare, or informatics.
What Success Looks Like

You’ll make an impact by bringing together technical depth, patient-centered thinking, and collaborative leadership. Strong performance means developing solutions that work technically while also improving patient and stakeholder experiences, helping teams make sound decisions, and creating momentum across initiatives that don't fit neatly within a single application or department.
