Join a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your technical expertise directly supports clinical efficiency, innovation, and better patient outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Analyze existing clinical and operational workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with organizational objectives and patient care requirements.
  • Design, build, configure, and maintain assigned Epic application modules, particularly Epic Cupid, as well as associated third-party applications and integrations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, end users, hospital leadership, and ancillary department teams to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
  • Lead the development of electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflows, operational efficiency, and healthcare delivery.
  • Coordinate workflow assessments, gap analyses, and future-state workflow development for new implementations and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, process specifications, and implementation materials.
  • Create test scripts and testing documentation, and conduct unit, system, integration, and end-to-end workflow testing to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Monitor Epic application updates, vendor releases, and industry developments to ensure system modifications and upgrades comply with technical specifications and operational requirements.
  • Follow established configuration management, quality assurance, and software release standards, providing appropriate documentation and training for new functionalities and system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and system deficiencies, coordinate escalation procedures, and recommend effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional initiatives, applying project management, coordination, and Lean methodologies to support successful implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to other analysts, project managers, and consultants.
  • Participate in project and departmental meetings, communicate progress and achievements, identify potential challenges, and provide regular status updates to management.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support clinical technology operations and organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered, including a high school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of additional experience.
  • Epic certification in any application is required, or the ability to obtain certification within three months of completing the required training.
  • At least 5 years of clinical or technical experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of healthcare technology environments and clinical workflows.
  • Previous experience with electronic medical record (EMR) applications, implementations, and system optimization is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Epic Cupid or cardiovascular information systems is particularly relevant to the position.
  • Knowledge of third-party application integrations and connected healthcare technology solutions is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the broader Microsoft suite is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business and clinical challenges, identify workflow gaps, and develop practical technology-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and technical workflows, with the ability to translate operational requirements into functional system configurations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and project deadlines.
  • Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly and adapt to evolving healthcare IT requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through formal education, industry conferences, professional associations, or journal presentations.
