Job summary

LevelBlue, LLC. is seeking an entry-level Cyber Security Lab Technician to support the DFIR and Operations teams in our New York office. You will perform forensic imaging, assist in analyses, and help maintain secure evidence handling and documentation across client engagements.

The role involves lab operations, chain of custody management, and collaboration with DFIR staff. A bachelor’s in IT/cyber security or related experience is preferred, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, IT Security/Cyber Security or equivalent years of experience.
• Exposure to industry standard data collection tools is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-focused; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Document and preserve data from electronic sources using forensic imaging across laptops, desktops, servers and mobiles.
• Support forensic examiners by conducting analyses and maintaining proficiency with standard tools.
• Maintain an organized and secure evidence room; manage chain of custody records.
• Assist in lab operations and administrative tasks for the DFIR team.
