Job summary

EvolveMKD is offering a 90-day, full-time PR Fellowship in New York, paid at $20/hour with a 40-hour workweek. The program targets post-grads and may lead to full-time employment after completion.

Successful Fellows will work alongside the team, develop hands-on PR skills, and demonstrate strong research, writing, and organizational abilities in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, PR, English, or marketing.
• 3+ months Digital/PR internship in beauty/health/lifestyle is a bonus.
• Strong written communication and professional client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day account management, monitoring, reporting, and materials for client accounts.
• Analyze metrics from content campaigns and social activations to optimize strategies.
• Develop engaging social content with the Social team.
• Research client businesses and competitive environments through ongoing monitoring.
• Foster media/influencer relations, identify targets, and manage databases.
• Support events, client planning, and creative deliveries under senior leadership.

About The Program

The EvolveMKD PR Fellowship is a 90-day full-time work experience and training program. This is a paid program requiring 40 hours per week. Open to post-grads only, this paid and highly competitive opportunity will give aspiring public relations professionals the chance to work alongside the team at EvolveMKD and gain hands on experience. Additionally, this opportunity has the potential to lead to full-time employment upon completion of the Fellowship.

This role is open to recent graduates who are available to start immediately.

A successful Fellow at EvolveMKD will have strong, intuitive written and verbal communications skills, and should be fueled by an inner drive to learn new ways of thinking and hone their craft. They should be a self-starter and have strong research, project management and organization skills. We also expect all team members to demonstrate problem-solving abilities, both when acting alone and as part of a collaborative team, as EvolveMKD is a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Passion and enthusiasm for the work, as well as team collaboration and respect are required.

EvolveMKD is based in Manhattan, and we operate on a hybrid schedule (in-office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Relocation assistance is not provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistwith day-to-day account managementsuch as:daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly monitoring, social listening, and reporting;coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts, and responding ina timelyand professional manner to client requests or needs

• Assistin analyzing metrics from content campaigns and social media ad activations, ensuring that ongoing and future efforts areoptimizedto overall strategies

• Work with the Social team to develop unique and engaging social media content forEvolveMKD'schannels

• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients' business and their competitive environments through ongoing research,socialmediamonitoringand list management

• Foster media and influencer relations, including identifying target media/influencers,database management,fact checking, editor entertainment and generating consistent results

• Project management including development of timelines, management of project-specific budgets and vendor coordination

• Support team andparticipatein development and execution ofinfluencerevents, client business planning, and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership

• Refresh client folders on an ongoing basis, and audit quarterly to ensure organization

• Helpwithadmin andfront office duties, including answering phones, running errands, andassistingwith mailers and sendouts

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
• Minimum 3 months of Digital/PR internship experience with a focus on beauty, health and lifestyle brands is a bonus
• Strong written communication skills; ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both in person and virtually via phone or email
• Proficiency in Office365, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with media database and monitoring tools such as Muck Rack and Cision preferred
• An open mind, with the ability to learn new skills quickly and comprehensively
• Ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a respectful demeanor in all communications.

Compensation: $20/hr
