Job summary

EvolveMKD, a Manhattan-based Brand Relations agency, seeks an Account Executive with strong written and verbal communication skills to build media and influencer relationships and drive results.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organization, the ability to multi-task, and a proven track record in PR within beauty, health, or lifestyle brands. The role offers a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday) in New York and relocation support is not provided.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years agency PR experience, beauty/health lifestyle preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field is a plus
• Strong writing samples demonstrating clear, effective communication

A successful AE at EvolveMKD will have strong written and verbal communications skills, the drive to form media and influencer relationships, and a proven track record of generating results. They should be a self-starter with strong communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to multi-task with a sense of curiosity and urgency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client & Account Management

• Coordinate day-to-day account activity, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-moving agency setting
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, clients, and internal team members
• Manage day-to-day workflow across interns, peers, clients, vendors and freelancers
• Write press materials, key messages, event briefing materials, status documents and recaps—always delivering these materials in a timely matter with little to no revisions required
• Problem solving to improve efficiency, maximize client budgets, and delivery beyond expectations
• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their competitive environments through ongoing research and media monitoring
• Respond promptly to all client and internal requests.
• Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
• Support the team and participate in development and execution of media events, editor desksides, influencer partnerships, new business efforts, and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership

Media/Influencer Relations

• Develop and grow media and influencer relationships through ongoing outreach and outings
• Craft relevant, creative pitches and thorough media/influencer lists to secure quality placements and social media coverage for client brands across different industries
• Fulfill all media-related requests and inquiries in a timely manner
• Supervise and provide mentorship to interns/Fellows to further their professional and personal growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2–4 years of public relations experience in an agency setting required; focus on beauty, health and lifestyle brands preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
• Strong written communications skills as demonstrated through writing samples
• Proven track record of generating results as demonstrated through published media examplesHands-on mentality and strong work ethic; ability to thrive and remain highly organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be resourceful and think strategically and creatively
• Problem-solving skills and inner drive to improve efficiency and delivery beyond expectations for both the agency and for clients
• Personal time management to balance workload and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as media database and monitoring tools such as Cision, MuckRack, etc.

ANNUAL BASE SALARY RANGE

$55,000 – $70,000; Compensation and title will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
