Job summary

The City of Conroe Police Department seeks an Evidence Technician to receive evidence, properly disburse it, and maintain secure records. You will collect and process digital media evidence and tag items for court use, while coordinating with internal officers and other agencies.

Required are a high school diploma, at least two years in police-related or inventory/records roles, experience with audio/video and digital media, and certification through TAPEIT within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• TAPEIT certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Experience with audio, video, and digital media is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive evidence items and ensure proper disbursement.
• Process digital media evidence and tag items for court use.
• Maintain accurate records and evidence inventory.
• Coordinate with internal officers and other agencies as needed.
