Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, logs, stores, and transports evidence and property including firearms and narcotics.
• Maintains evidence and property; prevents theft, loss, or contamination; ensures items are locatable.
• Releases evidence and property to law enforcement, courts, or owners.
• Disposes of evidence per Investigative Units' direction, including obsolete items.
• Decides which disposed items are destroyed, retained for charity, or auctioned by the City.
• Receives, maintains, and disburses police equipment like uniforms and radios.
• Provides information to the public regarding property and evidence.
• Provides court testimony when required.
