The ideal candidate has a related Bachelor's degree, passes competency tests, holds an approved forensic credential (e.g., EnCE, GCFE), and is eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Passing competency and proficiency test.
• A+ certification or a recognized digital forensics credential (EnCE, GCFE, CFCE, etc.).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist seizure of digital evidence from on-site locations.
• Preserve and archive evidence using best practices.
• Maintain chain of custody documentation.
• Interface with investigators to develop analysis plans.
• Perform forensic imaging and data extraction from digital media.
• Maintain and service laboratory forensic equipment.
• Write clear reports of findings with detailed notes for repeatability.
• Provide testimony in court or other legal proceedings.
• Support accreditation, audits, and case documentation.
