Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Design Engineer intern in the Effector Digital Products department for aerospace defense systems. You will design digital circuits using FPGAs/ASICs and work on embedded processors, with exposure to validation and system integration in challenging environments.

Join a team responsible for missile guidance, video, and DSP, applying high-speed digital electronics and multiprocessor designs, while developing professional skills in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
• Coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, lab coursework, PCB design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Hardware design: assist in digital circuit design for missile systems (FPGAs/ASICs) and embedded processors.
• System integration: integrate digital hardware with software, sensors, and analog subsystems.
• Testing and validation: perform lab tests, signal integrity, timing analysis, debugging hardware issues.
• Collaboration: work with multidisciplinary teams to meet design requirements.
• Documentation: prepare design docs, test plans, validation reports.
• Mentorship: participate in training to enhance defense engineering skills.
