Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry is seeking a full-time IT Systems Analyst – Digital Dentistry Hardware & Imaging Specialist to join the Office of Information Technology. The role supports macOS, Windows 11, and mobile endpoints, with emphasis on dental imaging hardware and CBCT systems across clinics and labs.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, problem-solving skills, and experience collaborating with clinical users, faculty, and vendor teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
  • Experience with macOS, Windows 11, mobile OS, imaging deployment, and management suites.
  • Experience writing PowerShell/shell scripts for endpoint automation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical decision-making and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience using generative AI tools for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead endpoint engineering, imaging deployment, and software configuration for macOS, Windows 11, and mobile devices.
  • Perform Tier-2/3 support, root-cause analysis, and automation using scripts.
  • Collaborate with clinical users, faculty, vendor engineers, and central IT to resolve issues.
  • Provide secondary support for instructional technology and classroom operations.
  • Maintain lab and clinical hardware such as 3Shape Trios scanners, 3D printers, and CBCT systems.
