Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond seeks a full-time IT Systems Specialist focused on EHR systems. You will provide tier-2/3 support for macOS, Windows 11, and mobile devices, and help maintain axiUm and MiPACS in a clinical education setting.

You will coordinate access workflows, train faculty and staff, and act as a liaison with vendors and central IT, ensuring seamless clinical, academic, and admin technology operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field or equivalent IT experience.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac endpoints, mobile OS, FileVault/BitLocker.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or shell scripts for automation.
• Strong IT customer service and basic project management skills.
• Ability to analyze issues and use AI tools for troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-2/3 support for macOS, Windows 11, and mobile endpoints.
• Support enterprise EHR and PACS environments (axiUm, MiPACS).
• Coordinate access workflows and assist with user training.
• Liaise between clinical users, faculty, vendors, and IT teams.
• Assist with classroom/ instructional technology and AV support.
