Job summary

Barge Design Solutions in Nashville, TN is seeking a summer intern to gain hands-on data experience in business analytics and visualization. You will learn from mentors while contributing to real BI projects.

Responsibilities include data collection, dashboard development, and supporting data-driven decision making across functions. This paid internship is in-person and requires full-time hours during Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university.
• Major: Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence and technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Assisting with the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports and data visualizations.
• Working with business intelligence and data visualization tools to identify trends and communicate insights.
• Supporting the development of data-driven solutions that improve business processes and decision-making.
• Collaborating with team members to translate business needs into reporting and analytical solutions.
• Assisting with data documentation, quality review and process improvement initiatives.
• Supporting Digital team projects and completing project deliverables.
• Collaborating with team members on new ideas and innovations.

You Will Gain Experience In:

• Supporting data collection, preparation, validation, and analysis across business functions
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Working with business intelligence and data visualization tools to identify trends and communicate insights
• Supporting the development of data-driven solutions that improve business processes and decision‑making
• Collaborating with team members to understand business needs and translate them into reporting and analytical solutions
• Assisting with data documentation, quality review, and process improvement initiatives
• Supporting Digital team projects and completing project deliverables
• Collaborating with team members on new ideas and innovations

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited university
• Major: Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, and technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• You must be at least 18 years of age

Additional Details:

• This is a paid internship working full-time hours (40) per week
• This is an in-person work opportunity
• Interns are not eligible for company benefits
