Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Digital and Data Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger and project accounting for SaaS and consulting revenue under ASC 606, and to manage software capitalization under ASC 350-40. The role partners with Poland-based teams, Streetlight leadership, and Private Markets to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities include leading GL close, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and capitalization processes, while driving reconciliation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, economics or business administration.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience including GL, revenue accounting, project accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on responsibility for GL, revenue recognition, reconciliations and reporting.
• Direct SaaS accounting experience including subscription revenue and ASC 606 compliance.
• Hands-on Sage Intacct experience managing accounting operations and reporting.
• Experience with software capitalization accounting under ASC 350-40.
• Proven ability to lead accounting processes in a complex, multi-location environment.
• SaaS sales tax knowledge and compliance.
• Consulting experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Own integrity of the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across the GL team.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close; ensure milestones are met and TB upload on day 3.
• Reconcile and support Poland team to maintain reconciliation discipline.
• Create monthly reports for DaaS and Streetlight initiatives.
• Lead project accounting for consulting revenue and SaaS recognition under ASC 606.
• Coordinate with SaaS revenue process for subscription and contract balances.
• Oversee project setup, cost capture, and margin accuracy.
