Job summary

GRAY MEDIA's WOIO-WUAB-TV in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Digital Content Producer/Assignment Editor to join our newsroom team. The role involves writing and posting news stories to multiple platforms, including social media, and coordinating coverage across agencies and crews.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in journalism, a journalism degree preferred, and strong AP style, communication, and organization skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of journalism-related experience required.
• AP style knowledge is a must.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Write and post news stories to multiple platforms, including social media.
• Coordinate with state and local agencies and viewers; assign crews to breaking news.
• Coordinate live coverage and newsroom operations as part of the assignment desk.
