Job Overview

Our local government client is seeking a digital content manager for a website refresh project. This is a part-time, fully remote freelance role, requiring 10-15 hours per week for approximately 9 months.

Responsibilities

1. Curate, organize, and optimize website content for clarity, consistency, accessibility, and public engagement.
2. Migrate content, edit existing materials, and develop user flows with UX best practices and analytics, ensuring consistency with branding standards.
3. Design and curate website layouts, navigation, and interactions to enhance user experience. Analyze data to improve website functionality and engagement. Assist in developing wireframes and user flows as needed.
4. Work within the CivicPlus platform.

Ideal Candidate

1. Experience in content strategy, copywriting, UX design principles, and web content management.
2. Knowledge of website accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG).
3. Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, user-friendly web content.
4. Experience with CivicPlus website redesigns is strongly preferred.
5. Knowledge of local government operations is a plus.
