Job summary

WNEM is seeking a forward-thinking, high-energy Digital Content Manager to lead our growing digital operation and oversee content across all WNEM multimedia platforms. You will drive audience engagement and expand CTV/streaming performance while staying ahead of digital best practices and trends.

As part of the newsroom leadership team, you will deliver accurate, timely content and coach a team of digital creators to meet ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing, creating, and executing content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and social media strategy.
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and content management systems (CMS).
• BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, including AI’s role in SEO optimization.

Responsibilities

• Write and publish breaking and enterprise coverage across WNEM’s digital and various social platforms.
• Lead the collection and verification of user-generated content and produce enterprise/interactive storytelling.
• Use analytics to monitor engagement, optimize video and story placement, and increase digital consumption.
• Expand CTV adoption and engagement by partnering with news and marketing teams.
• Increase social referrals by developing engaging, shareable content that drives users back to WNEM’s platforms.
• Track algorithm changes on major platforms and adjust posting strategies accordingly.
• Lead and coach a team of digital content creators to meet goals.
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, and staff to identify breaking news and features for digital distribution.
