Collaborating with reporters and leadership, you will optimize headlines, metadata, and distribution plans, while using analytics to guide real-time decisions and maximize engagement across all digital channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent newsroom experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage breaking news and make editorial decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and headline skills.
• Strong understanding of audience development, content optimization, and engagement best practices.
• Experience with analytics, CMS workflows, live streaming, and social publishing tools.
• Ability to turn data into actionable editorial decisions and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor local and national news and track developing stories.
• Write, edit, and publish content across digital platforms (web, mobile, OTT, social).
• Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve visibility and growth.
• Use analytics to inform content decisions and opportunities for audience engagement.
• Collaborate with reporters and newsroom leadership to integrate digital storytelling across platforms.
• Ensure daily content production and audience engagement goals are met.
• Lead cross-platform coordination with newsroom teams.
