Job summary

KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio in Seattle seeks a Digital Video Producer to create compelling short-form video content for social media and web. You will manage a video calendar, script, shoot, edit, and create graphics across platforms, amplifying KUOW’s journalism and podcasts.

The role entails collaboration with podcast showrunners, news leadership, and a marketing team, with occasional telework. Must have strong storytelling instincts and proficiency in video editing software.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience producing shortform video for social media, ideally for news or storytelling organizations.
• Directing video and shooting with professional camera equipment and smartphones.
• Lighting video and recording audio.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Video Production (planning, scripting, shooting, editing, graphics) for multiple daily videos.
• Post, schedule, and optimize captions/headlines for platform audiences.
• Analyze video performance and report insights bi-weekly.
• Collaborate across teams and support station initiatives as needed.
