Job summary

The Morgan Library & Museum invites applicants for the position of Digital Communications Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, this role supports the Morgan’s digital presence across social media and the museum blog by creating and publishing engaging, audience-focused content, while contributing to publicity and communications efforts.

Qualifications

  • B.A. Degree (or equivalent) with strong interest in the arts.
  • 2-3 years’ working experience; museum/gallery desirable.
  • Experience managing content across multiple social media channels with analytics.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and editing for digital platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategy and create, schedule, and publish content across platforms.
  • Monitor social media performance using analytics to improve engagement.
  • Coordinate outreach to and visits by social media influencers and develop collaborations with partners.
  • Develop and edit original blog content by curatorial staff and guest scholars.
  • Support publicity efforts, including press releases, invitations, and press kits.
  • Assist with communications projects including the College Ambassador Program, onsite photography and filming, and event production.
