Job summary

The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) in Boulder, CO invites applications for a Digital Communications Intern. This part-time, non-exempt role (10-20 hours/week) reports to the Vice President, Communications and offers hands-on learning in digital channels, writing, editing and portfolio-worthy work.

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
• Must be committed to excellence and possess a professional attitude.
• Must be detail-oriented with a deep commitment to accuracy.
• Must be curious and grow skillset through hands-on learning.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical experience applying communications best practices by creating high-quality content.
• Manage organizational communication channels and produce polished writing and editing samples.
• Assist with branding or graphic design tasks as needed.
