Larson Maddox is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Legal team in the New York/DC area. You will advise on emerging technologies and digital banking initiatives, collaborating with product, technology, risk, and compliance to enable responsible innovation across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a JD, active bar admission, and 5+ years in banking or financial services with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in good standing.
5+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of banking or financial services operations.
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

Provide clear, practical, business-oriented legal advice on innovative financial products and services.
Advise on legal and regulatory issues related to AI, digital assets, digital banking platforms, open banking, and fintech partnerships.
Analyze evolving laws, regulations, and industry guidance for new and existing offerings.
Support product development by translating legal requirements into actionable business solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to identify legal risks and align with risk appetite.
Contribute to negotiations, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making.
Help shape legal frameworks supporting innovation initiatives.
