Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking an experienced attorney for a leading financial institution in New York to support its structured finance and capital markets activities. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor on complex securitization transactions and partnering with business, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders.

You will advise on ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs, draft and negotiate documents, and provide guidance on product development and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years of structured finance, securitization, or capital markets legal experience gained at a law firm and/or financial institution.
• Deep understanding of ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, and related structured finance products.

Responsibilities

• Advise on securitization transactions including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and financing agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on development, structuring, and launch of new products and initiatives.
• Analyze legal and regulatory developments impacting structured finance markets and advise on risk.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations to enhance policies and governance.
• Support strategic transactions, regulatory change initiatives, and industry engagement.
• Advise on securities, corporate finance, bankruptcy, and creditor rights matters in structured finance.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee legal spend.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with trading, capital markets, risk, compliance, and senior leadership.
