Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a consulting capacity or internal role focused on digital assets/fintech.
• Demonstrated experience delivering engagements within the digital asset ecosystem (exchanges, custodians, token issuers).
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, internal controls, and COSO.
• Technical expertise in blockchain, custody/wallet architecture, exchanges, tokenized assets.
• CPA or CISA certification preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit and internal controls engagements for digital assets and financial services clients.
• Advise exchanges, custodians, trading firms, token issuers and financial institutions on risks.
• Evaluate controls over custody, private keys, wallets, staking, and settlement processes.
• Assess blockchain-related risks including smart contracts and oracles.
• Ensure AML/BSA, sanctions, and regulatory compliance considerations are addressed.
• Translate complex transaction flows into practical risk and control recommendations.
• Manage engagements from planning through execution and reporting, including budgets and timelines.
• Present findings to senior management and audit committees.
• Mentor staff and contribute to recruiting and firm initiatives.
