Job summary

Publicis Commerce seeks a Digital Asset Manager to oversee asset ingestion, tagging, and governance across multiple DAMs. You will manage migrations, generate asset reports, and support enterprise DAM requests, ensuring metadata consistency and efficient searchability for cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate with creatives, PMs, and IT, applying best practices in asset lifecycle management and rights handling while contributing to process documentation and end-user training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of asset management experience in an agency environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of metadata schemas, taxonomy development, file-naming conventions, database reporting, DAM governance, and rights management.
• Knowledge of image, video, and audio encoding formats and best practices.
• Experience with DAM implementation, migration, and consolidation.
• Experience with a wide range of filetypes (INDD, AI, EPS, PSD, XD, AE, PRPROJ, PDF, JPG, PNG, HTML, MP4, MOV).

Responsibilities

Overview

We’re looking for a Digital Asset Manager. As aDigital Asset Manager, you focus on the details of all of the content that crosses your desk. You are skilled in managing ingestion, uploading, adding appropriate tags and assisting in content retrieval/search requests within a DAM.

Your attention to detail is second to none, making sure that nothing slips by you. You are quick to raise red flags and hold everyone accountable while enforcing consistency/accuracy of metadata and asset organization.

In this role you will need to ...

• Manage asset ingestion, upload content assets into various DAMs, add appropriate tags and monitor any automated ingestion.
• Migrate content from sources outside of the DAM to the DAM
• Tag and support tagging at key points in the asset lifecycle (e.g. asset upload, asset rights clearances, final assets)
• Generate and distribute Asset reports
• Assist with asset requests – share/distribute relevant assets to individuals or work groups
• Support client enterprise DAM requests
• Field content questions from users and stakeholders from across TMA, vendors and clients
• Conduct content audits in support of brand projects to identify pertinent DAM content for reuse
• Govern and audit the system to ensure health of the DAM
• Help enforce consistency and accuracy of metadata and folder structure to maximize searchability and rights expiration tracking
• Assist with managing and documenting DAM process
• Partner with system administrators and/or tech support to provide user support
• Assist with managing user access and permissions
• Assist with training and onboarding of new users, as well as, support DAM end users
• Have strong skills in communication, organization, multi-tasking and problem solving
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Apply sound judgement while working independently within tight timelines
• Demonstrated commitment going above and beyond to help customers, system users, or patrons in solving problems or locating Information
• Proven success as a key member of a cross-functional team; able to work equally well with people in business, creative, PM and technical positions

SKILLSETS REQUIRED:

• Preferred degree or certification in Library and Information Science, Digital Asset Management or related field
• 5+ years of experience in asset management in an agency environment
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe creative suite
• Experience and clear understanding of metadata schemas and taxonomy development, file-naming conventions, database reporting, DAM governance, and rights management.
• Knowledge of image, video, and audio encoding formats and best practices
• Experience in DAM implementation, migration, and consolidation
• Experience with a wide range of filetypes, including but not limited to INDD, AI, EPS, PSD, XD, AE, PRPROJ, PDF, JPG, PNG, HTML, MP4, MOV, and beyond

Extra Credit

• Project management skills with graphic development, pre-press and or printing knowledge
• Experience in rights and release management
• Understanding of data architecture and lifecycle of assets from creation to delivery.
• Experience with any of the following DAM software—Widen, Brandfolder, Aprimo, AEM, MediaBeacon or Bynder

Compensation Range: USD $81,225.00 - USD $116,665.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
