Job summary

The NYS Digital Services team at the Office of General Services seeks an Analytics Specialist to measure the usage and impact of digital content and translate insights into actionable improvements. The role bridges complex content and analytics to advise site enhancements for better user outcomes.

You will design dashboards, manage GTM, and collaborate with teams to ensure data-informed decisions across NYS government digital content. Occasional travel between NYC and Albany is required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications.
• Experience with digital content analytics and content strategy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and structure website content to help visitors find what they need.
• Consult with subject matter experts to support new or revised web content, social media, and online documents and forms.
• Monitor current events and news at state and federal level.
• Collaborate with technologists, designers, content strategists, UX researchers, and project teams to ground product delivery in data.
• Generate and deliver reports highlighting insights from survey and performance data.
• Design dynamic, user-friendly Data Studio dashboards for performance tracking.
• Evaluate website effectiveness via analytics, user feedback, search behavior, and engagement metrics.
• Manage Google Tag Manager containers to monitor form completions and downloads; refine event tracking.
• Present dashboard data, trends, and actionable improvements in meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
