Job summary

Health Services Advisory Group is seeking a 508 Compliance Specialist to format, review, and perform Section 508 accessibility work on reports, analyses, and studies for local, state, and federal agencies. You will test interfaces with screen readers, fix PDFs and Word/PowerPoint files to WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A/AA, develop templates, ensure consistent styles, and coordinate deadlines across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, technical writing, journalism, communication or related field (preferred).
• Experience with Section 508 compliance and document remediation.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and SharePoint; PowerPoint, Excel, Visio a plus.
• Demonstrated skills in communication, formatting, and collaboration.
• Attention to detail and adherence to technical requirements for clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct automated and manual Section 508 remediation on reports, analyses, studies, and digital assets.
• Fix and format PDFs, Word/PowerPoint files to meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA.
• Test user interfaces using screen readers and keyboard navigation.
• Develop templates and formats for company documents; apply HSAG standards and contract requirements.
• Use Word styles to ensure standardized templates with document fields and features.
• Adhere to timelines; provide quick turnaround and coordinate progress across teams.
• Work extended hours to meet project deadlines as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
