The role requires 5+ years in PDF accessibility remediation, strong Acrobat Pro skills, and experience with assistive tech. This is a high-volume, quality-focused position offering growth and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years in PDF accessibility remediation.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust.
• Expert knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.x, and PDF/UA.
• Advanced Acrobat Pro tagging, reading order, and Preflight.
• Experience with automated remediation tools such as CommonLook or PAC.
• Word and InDesign accessibility features experience.
• Experience testing with assistive technologies (JAWS/NVDA).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Create Section 508 accessible PDF versions from Word using CommonLook.
• Remediate complex PDFs and forms with Acrobat Pro and plugins.
• Validate remediated docs against 508, WCAG 2.x, PDF/UA.
• Review PDFs for print vendor specifications.
• Create/modify accessible Word and InDesign templates; include VBA automation.
• Meet defined turnaround times and quality standards.
• Provide training on accessible Office and InDesign documents.
• Investigate automation/AI enhancements for remediation.
• Document procedures and contribute to SOPs and checklists.
• Collaborate with IM staff, developers, QA, and security teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks.
